Troubleshooting Guide

Before you TEXT me, please consult these tips! :)


***DO NOT USE PNY OR OTHER SD CARD BRANDS FOR THESE CAMERAS***

If you have problems powering on the camera:

Try a different set of batteries!

This is the #1 cause of false returns, even batteries that are brand new can be bad. Even batteries that work is one camera may have trouble in another. Try at least 3 DIFFERENT AND KNOWN GOOD, sets of batteries. All cameras are powered on before shipping, so this issue should be extremely rare.


If the cameras are shutting off pre-maturely:

Hard reset the cameras:  Remove SD card and batteries for 5 minutes (They will hard restart automatically) 

ONLY USE SANDISK MINI SD CARDS. 8GB-32GB. (NOT MICRO SD CARDS) 

***DO NOT USE PNY OR OTHER SD CARD BRANDS FOR THESE CAMERAS***


If you are having issues with the display screen (frozen or says “ERR”):

***PLEASE TRY NEW A NEW SD CARD***

-Sometimes a certain SD card does not pair well with a certain camera (even if neither piece of equipment is defective).

-If you have more than one SD card, try swapping different SD cards with different cameras. The source of the problem is typically the SD card. 

-Please also re-format the SD card if you continue to have issues. (Do not attempt to reformat your cards unless issues occur)

-If you are using micro-SD’s with adapters, remove and reinsert firmly the micro SD. 

Please do not contact seller until you have properly troubleshot your SD cards, and changed 3 sets of batteries!


If you are getting “white-washed” pictures:


***PLEASE TEST ALL CAMERAS OUTDOORS ONLY***

-99% of all issues with picture quality (white wash in particular), is due to indoor camera testing. These cameras are meant for outdoor use only.

(Cameras can also sometimes work indoor at some distances (10-40ft).)


If you’re getting black and white only pictures:

-Wait for a sunny day and re-test camera outside.


If the camera is reading “NO SD”:

-Please ensure the SD Card is inserted correctly. It goes in backwards, never force an SD card. 


Please note:

-The test light (red circular light on the left) will flash for the first 30 seconds. Afterward it will go away and not re-appear until you press the power button again.

-After 30 seconds the display will turn off and enter low power mode. THIS IS NORMAL. It will still take pictures until it runs out of batteries, SD card fills, or you turn it off.

-The NW initials, stand for “No warranty” (Manufactuer) Wildgame Innovation makes us write this, so people do not try to take them back to the manufacturer for returns and make illegal profits,
